Kompakt announce details of 20 Years pop up store in Berlin

Berlin Pop Up Store 

To celebrate their 20th anniversary, Cologne-based KOMPAKT are taking their record store on tour – setting up pop-up stores in key cities across Europe. Following a hugely successful launch in Geneva and Art Cologne and with stores set to open in Paris and Amsterdam before years end, KOMPAKT turn their eyes to the German capital of Berlin from August 31 – September 7, 2013. Situated in Abletons spacious headquarters and supported by Electronic Beats, Telekom’s international music program, the Pop Up Store store, will open its doors on Saturday August 31, 2013 in conjunction with Torstrasse Festival and will remain open until September 7, daily from 2-8pm during Berlin Music Week.
 
Ableton will open their doors for the first time ever, sharing their space with KOMPAKT where they will combine forces for a week long series of events, presentations and of course shopping! The store will offer exclusive vinyl releases only to be found in the store alongside highlight catalogue from KOMPAKT and the KOMPAKT distributed labels.
 
Every day will offer special in store performances and discussions not only from KOMPAKT and Ableton but from the local Berlin music community and beyond. Discussions and workshops abound throughout the week, featuring luminary producers and industry figureheads alongside some of todays most exciting musicians. There are a number of surprises
 
The Ableton x Kompakt Pop Up Store project was put together thanks to initiative of Berlin based organization newthinking and with the support of Electronic Beats. On September 7 the store will come to an end with a closing party followed by the 20 Years Of KOMPAKT party at Berghain/Panorama Bar.
