James Connolly has announced a new collaboration under his Dance System alias with Local Action affiliate India Jordan, the first single to be taken off Where’s The Party At?, a 20-track mixtape on his new System Records imprint.

The bouncy bass-driven track, titled ‘Let’s Go’, gives you a taste of what to expect from the forthcoming compilation and the label as a whole, which will carry a similar ethos to the now iconic Night Slugs, which Connolly co-founded a decade ago under his L-Vis 1990 moniker, alongside Bok Bok.

Set for release on Thursday 19th November the mixtape was created during lockdown whilst dreaming of the club, and features collaborations from Hudson Mohawke, A-Trak, Herbert, Shadow Child, Sally C, Cromby, Big Miz, Lauren Flax, DJ Deeon, Absolute, Alex Virgo, Hugo Paris and more.

Speaking of their new collaboration, Dance System said, “I absolutely love India Jordan! The first time I heard one of their tracks on Teki Latex’s Radio 1 show, I was taken aback at first, because I actually thought he was playing one of my demos, when in fact it was India’s I’m Waiting (Just 4 U). I had sampled exactly the same tune a couple of weeks before. It wasn’t even an obvious sample, so I took it as a sign and I dropped India a message straight away to see if they wanted to work together on something. I’m really happy with how Let’s Go! came out; it’s exactly what I hoped and imagined we would make together. It’s just pure fun and the perfect opener for the label.

India added, “I’ve been a fan of James’ stuff for ages, so I was really excited to work with him on this and the whole process was really fun. We started this at the beginning of summer and feel it has all those nice summer feelings you get just as things start to get a little warmer. Hoping it can bring some sunshine back into the darker days!

The full tracklist will be announced soon, keep your eyes peeled for the next announcement…
