Forever Heavenly Bring Jock Scot To London

Music

When Irvine Welsh is calling you one of his "all time heroes" it's pretty safe to say that you've done something very right in your life. That's exactly the case for the legendary post-punk figure Jock Scot who'll be heading to London's The Social thanks to Forever Heavenly on 14th September.

The Scot has worked with an incredible range of musicians including The Clash, Ian Dury, Vivian Stanshall, British Sea Power, Taj Mahal and The B52s and, now in his 60s, still has more of the essence of punk about him than any young person we've ever met. The night at The Social will see Jock read his poetry live to music from Davy Henderson and speak to Robert Rubbish, director of Jock Scot: Services To Rock ‘N’ Roll – the upcoming documentary detailing Jock's commitment to his very worthy cause.

If you've got the slightest yearning for punk spirit running through your veins, you could learn a few thing from a man like this.

Forever Heavenly presents an Evening with Jock Scot takes place at The Social, London on 14th September – find out more here.
