Kasper Bjørke Quartet announce third album ‘Passages in Time’
Kasper Bjørke Quartet have revealed their third album Passages in Time, arriving on 8th May via Sensitive Records.
The Danish producer moves between spiritual jazz and hazy ’80s ambient textures, framing the record around fleeting moments, memory and human connection. The music takes inspiration from Christopher Nolan’s idea that time is our most essential experience.
First single “Passage VI” arrives on 27th March. It opens as a spacious instrumental meditation with layered synths, gentle guitar, harp and brass, setting the contemplative tone for the rest of the record.
Joining Bjorke and Claus Noreen on the project are Oilly Wallace on flute and saxophone, Anna Roemer on guitar, Malthe Kaptain on trumpet and flugelhorn, and Icelandic Symphony Orchestra harpist Katie Buckley, giving the album a warm, layered feel.
‘Passages in Time’ follows 2018’s The Fifty Eleven Project and 2022’s Mother, and a limited bio vinyl edition will be available to pre‑order on Bandcamp from 27th March.
