end of the world this saturday

Ragnarok is almost upon us! The end of the world as we know it has been predicted to occur this Saturday as Norse Gods clash in a fight to the death in which Odin will be killed by Fennir. Oh No!!

Experts from the Jorvik Viking Centre predicted the world would end on 22 February to coincide with the grand finale of the 30th JORVIK Viking Festival. That’s better than a load of fireworks or an emotional set from Coldplay, isn’t it?

The Jorvik viking festival website has a countdown clock, ticking off the seconds to impending aramageddon. 

Time to start downing the mead!
