Eclair Fifi announces River Rapid label with EP from Afrodeutsche
Eclair Fifi has announced that she will be launching a new label, River Rapid, with an inaugural EP from Afrodeutsche.
Having cemented her reputation through her NTS residency and busy touring schedule, Eclair Fifi kicks off her new imprint with four tracks from Manchester-based producer and DJ Afrodeutsche AKA Henrietta Smith-Rolla. Set for release on 26th July, this follows Henrietta's debut EP Break What You Make released on SKAM last year, and showcases a similar hardware driven sound.
The first single to be released is 'Make The Call' which Afrodeutsche shares some words on: "Back when I wrote 'Make the Call,' I was listening to a lot of Afro-beat & Jazz, which undoubtedly influenced the pace of it. All the different parts were jammed live and kept 'as is' to preserve all of the wonkiness. I am th-ri-lled to have it out on Eclair Fifi's new label!"
This summer sees Afrodeutsche playing festivals performances at SONAR, Dimensions and Dekmantel, as well as opening for Aphex Twin at Red Bull Music Festival in Autumn.
