Dave Haslam Announces Details Of New Book ‘Life After Dark’

Dave Haslam has returned as author and socialist raconteur with his new book “Life After Dark”. A history of all those spaces, times, friends and places we have all loved and still do until we shed the coil.
From vice-ridden Victorian halls to Stoke, and the heady days of quality Mits and driving a hundred miles to find sweating house music. From Mods and Northern Soul and how that changed the style and sound of the bigguns’ in Them Their Beatles and Them Their Stones.
The Hacienda and partnering gangsters, tales of a mongoose and bingo halls. Fashion (well I was wearing pale blue felt Diesel trews, so I was well ace la), politics and how the society around these venues formed us all.
Sounds like a top read.
Dave is launching the book in London with an event at 100 Club featuring The Guv Andrew Weatherall and others, swapping tales and horror stories, in August and another event in Manchester. The book is released 15th August. More details here
