Darkside announce debut lp

The king of left of centre hype and very rightly so in most instances Nicolas Jaar and his band cohort and friend Dave Harrington have announced details of their DARKSIDE project’s debut album.

Comprised of Jaar and guitarist Harrington they formed in 2011 after touring together for several years and experimenting with each others’ sounds. Drawing on their vastly different backgrounds, each musician channels himself through the other, resulting in a progressive hybrid of electronic music and psychedelic rock with an otherworldly depth…

Sounds pretty pretentious eh? It very well could be in the hands of someone less adept.  We’ve been privy to the album and on first listen it sounds like a glorious extension of Jaar’s solo output.
