Bare Wires

Channelling the bubblegum spirit of T-Rex, Sweet, Bowie and The Beach Boys, Bare Wires are unashamedly retro. A 3 piece from Oakland looking like the Ramones had they hit bongs rather than brown, Bare Wires have hit nostalgia gold with this, there first UK release. Dont Ever Change shamelessly steals the vocal hook from California Girls, gives it a glam stomp, and records it in a sun drenched beach hut with a ramshackle budget of ten bucks. Its not big and its not clever but it does make a great piece of cheeky punk pop, with the band giving the impression that they are thoroughly enjoying themselves throughout. Fun fun fun.
