Artists announced for Malasimbo Festival

The Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival has announced the first batch of artists to perform at this year’s festival. The names confirmed so far include indie folk singer-songwriter Jose Gonzalez, soul-jazz fusion pioneers Roy Ayers and Lonnie Liston Smith, and the Grammy winning Robert Glasper Experiment among others.

Debuting in 2011, the Malasimbo Festival has rapidly become one of the largest music and arts events to take place in the Philippines. Using the beautiful landscape surroundings to its advantage, the festival promotes native cultures alongside new musical and artistic talent in support of a selection of top drawer musicians.
