Akabu are Netherlands duo Vyris Edghill and Valerie Skeete who released this cautionary urban tale back in 1984. As a Tommy Boy and On-U Sound collaboration, the single was produced by dub pioneer Adrian Sherwood and involved the cut & paste skills of Double D & Steinski.
