The Orb – Golden Clouds (Youth Gigantic Dreadnaught Dub Mix)

Something of an exclusive…
Dr Alex Patterson delivers another tower of dub to blow the cobwebs from your speakers. This time he's got the legendary maniac Lee 'Scratch' Perry on vocals, having shared the stage in Mexico back in 2004.
Scratch toasts manic over the top as Dr Alex and new Orb contributor, and Kompakt mainstay, Thomas Fehlmann construct a panorama of perfect, stripped-down backdrops based around the rhythms of The Orb's breakthrough track 'Little Fluffy Clouds'.
It's an interesting collaboration, and one that becomes even more interesting when you hear that The Orb have returned the favour by reworking the classic 1976 Scratch production 'Police and Thieves' by Junior Murvin.
