Who are you?

Metropolitan Soul Museum.

Where are you?

London.

What are you?

Human beings.

Where was the mix recorded?

In Nick's studio in London with 2 Pioneer CDJ 100s.

What would be the ideal setting to listen to the mix?

At work around 3.30 pm when you want to escape from reality… Or anywhere you can actually stand up and dance… So yeah, at work at around 3.30pm.

What should we be wearing?

Nothing that David Cameron would wear.

What would be your dream setting to record a mix: Location/system/format?

A big indoor open space in the morning with some nice big windows… Doesn't really matter what or how, as long as you can get people to dance…

Which track in the mix is your current favourite?

I would say Iron Curtis – 'Magnet'… That synth line is stuck in my head.

What’s your favourite recorded mix of all time?

Not sure of all time but I personally love John Talabot DJ Kicks from 2013 is up there with the Koze Fact Mix from the same year. Lately been really enjoying Throwing Snow's mix for Giles Peterson Worldwide too. Me and Nick (the other MSM) really like Young Marco's Dekmantel one too from this year.

If you could go back to back with any DJ from throughout history, who would it be and why?

Lory D.

What was your first DJ set up at home and what is it now?

The same as before. I never had one… I've learnt and practiced on other people's ones. I have a drum kit tho?

What’s more important, the track you start on or the track you end on?

The track I start with. In my head the voice goes 'Pressure pressure pressure pressure'.

What were the first and last records you bought?

The very first one was on Kompakt – Ferenc 'Cronch/France' and the last one was Floating Points 'Nuits Sonores'.

If this mix was an edible thing, what would it taste like?

Against all the possible cliches about Italians, pasta or pizza or bruschetta.

If it was an animal what would it be?

A domestic capybara.

Upcoming in the world of Metropolitan Soul Museum?

We have a few unconfirmed releases on the pipeline. Some of the tracks are in the mix too – spot them and you can win a… Actually I don't know what you can win but it would be good to get some feedback!
