Pop-Kultur 2025: In Focus

This year the festival showcases a broad representation of musicians and artists who will showcase the future potential and genre bending sensibilities of underground creative culture.
Pop-Kultur is one of the most exciting, forward thinking festivals out there. The Berlin event has become a celebration of all things boundary pushing – showcasing a wide variety of art, music and talks which celebrate the power of creative freedom and expression.
This year the festival will also include new locations, including the arrival of Pop-Kultur in the Wedding district of Berlin for the first time. Programming is scheduled at Kulturbrauerei, silent green Kulturquartier, Studio.dB, Panke Culture, Heizhaus, RCHTN25, SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA and migas amongst others.
The event will also run across six days with festival organisers explaining that this gives the full programme of events “more room to breathe”.
The festival is also focussed on making sure that it remains at the forefront of conversation with a diverse programme of talks which this year are focussed on the following subjects:
How can indie labels and artists regain control of their careers and creations?
What is the role of counterculture in a time of social and political upheaval?
What are the chances for music from Germany to make it globally?
How are music management, club culture and creativity evolving with social media and AI?
How can Black voices be amplified and structurally supported in Germany’s music industry?
What’s really going on with showcase festivals in Germany?

The music programme is equally expansive including a broad array of musicians including the likes of EBM pushers Curses who will perform live, London’s own Los Bitchos, Berlin rapper Apsilon and Moliy who has had a huge year off the back of her Afro Pop crossover smash “Shake It to the Max” which went viral and topped charts globally.
We’ve spotlighted some of the acts we think you’ll not want to miss…
