Eno Bids For Jezza’s Hat

Last night Jeremy Corbyn attended Stop The War's Christmas fundraiser at a Turkish restaurant in Southwark, despite facing criticism from Labour MPs who wanted him to further distance himself from the organisation.
Corbyn had already quit as chairman of the anti-war group after he became Labour leader in September, but demonstrated his support last night not just with his presence, but also with a special gesture.
An auction was held to raise funds for the group, and in the middle of dinner, Corbyn whipped off his hat – inevitably described as 'Leninist' in some corners of the press despite being a plain black cap – and proposed it as an item in the auction. Reportedly, it was Brian Eno who bought Corbyn's headgear for £250.
