Safar Film Festival 2016 Sets Up Crowdfunding

Art & Culture

The biennial SAFAR Film Festival returns to London this autumn for its third edition, celebrating contemporary Arab cinema with premieres, special events and forums. Held in partnership with the ICA, it is presented by the Arab British Centre, an award-winning cultural organisation that works to further understanding of the Arab world in the United Kingdom. This year it is curated by celebrated visual arts and film programmer Rasha Salti. Salti has previously collaborated with Musée Jeu de Paume, Tate Modern and MoMA. Premieres include the late Mohamed Khan's final fim 'Before the Summer Crowds' while the festival will close with Hicham Lasri’s new feature 'Starve Your Dog', a psychedelic stream of historical consciousness, which contains quotes from Shakespeare and Daft Punk.
