London Korean Film Festival 2016 Running Through November

Art & Culture

Now in it's 11th year, the London Korean Film Festival 2016 is it's longest running and most expansive to date. Many strands of cinema-making are highlighted including classics, documentaries, indie cinema and a focus on women's lives in Korea by female directors. The Classics Revisited strand brings together three visionary films by the influential and rebellious filmmaker Lee Chang-ho, influenced by the collectivism of the British Free Cinema and French Nouvelle Vague movements. There will also be an actor focus on screen veteran Baek Yoon-sik, one of the most revered actors of the Korean New Wave. A selection of films from the festival will also go on tour across the UK appearing in Glasgow, Belfast, Sheffield, Manchester and Nottingham.
