Leeds’ Narr Radio launches its second phase of programming

Born out of the tedium of 2020’s various lockdowns, Leeds-based Narr Radio returns this weekend for its second phase of programming.
Drawing on West Yorkshire’s rich history of post-punk and adjacent movements, the station aims to create a space for experimental sounds and marginalised scenes, from found noise and new age to ballroom and new beat. The schedule also features spoken format shows, exploring themes such as hauntology and Indian cinema.
Previous guests include Minimal Violence, Phase Group, Jaakko Eino Kalevi and Sofie K, while this weekend’s new wave of programming will feature shows from Ambient Babestation, Tia Cousins, Aletha, Zoe Pea, Thea HD, Monophonik, edv3ctor and Mori Ra.
Broadcasting will take place every Saturday and Sunday from morning to late afternoon, featuring guests from the likes of Leeds, Berlin, Mumbai and Tokyo. Whilst access to Narr’s base in the Corn Exchange is currently restricted, the station will continue to operate online.
