Laurent Garnier To Release Autobiography

'Electrochoc' is the informative autobiography from one of the most influential names in electronic music – Laurent Garnier. Featuring not only recounts of Garnier's life but the history and growth of dance music, along with the Frenchman's role in the explosion of the now multimillion-pound industry. 

As a DJ, radio broadcaster, producer, musician, live performer, label owner, star of a graphic novel and scorer of music for ballet, theatre, cinema, TV and fashion shows (and breathe!), Garnier has an overwhelming wealth of knowledge in which he shares in 'Electrochoc'. From his first-hand experience in Paris' pirate radio scene, the UK's acid house progression and the rise and fall of clubs from the 1980s to now, 'Electrochoc' is packed full of rich culture that can't be described by anyone other than Garnier.  

Translated into Spanish, German, Japanese, Russian and even Croatian, Rocket 88 Books will be publishing 'Electrochoc' in English for the first time. Limited early bird editions will be sent out on the 5th of May with general sale released on the 2nd of July. A special edition will also be available, which will feature a drilled and varnished cover, die-cut as a 12-inch single.
