Gallery : Stuart Tolley’s Latest Design Book Examines The New Simplicity
MIN: The New Simplicity is a new book put together by Stuart Tolley, the creative director and founder of the Transmission Design Studio. Tolley's past credits include Collection, a design book with a series of covers designed by musicians including Nick Cave and Wayne Coyne, and a stint as the deisgner on original (now defunct) hipster mag Sleaze Nation.
With MIN, Tolley has collected images representative of what he is terming "the rebirth of simplicity in graphic design" – including work from Made Thought, Stockholm Design Lab, Gentlewoman, Wang Zhi-Hong and Raster Noton. Each example has been photographed exclusively for the book and are accompanied by commentary on the design and production processes involved – it's probably easier to just show you some images, so here are some pages Stuart has sent us over –
MIN: The New Simplicity in Graphic Design, is published by Thames & Hudson on Monday (March 13th). More info can be found over here
