Bfi Screen ‘Dreamcatcher’ For International Women’s Day

If you're looking to spend your Sunday watching a documentary of a seldom told inspirational tale, there's something you can't afford to miss going on at the BFI.
Dreamcatcher takes a look at the endless cycle of neglect, violence and explotation that many young women around the world suffer on a daily basis which unfortunately is rarely covered in the news. It follows Brenda Myers-Powell who managed to break this cycle after 25 years of being stuck in its cruel grasp. This charming figure guides us through the lives of young women that are stuck in a similar situation to the one that she found herself in as a teenager.
Brenda provides us with an unflinching expose which contrasts seeming hopelessness against the difference that one person can make in the lives of many.
Catch Dreamcatcher at the BFI on Sunday, along with a Q&A with director Kim Longionotto. Grab your tickets here.
