Aldeburgh Documentary Film Festival Plans Unveiled

Having previously seen guests including David Attenborough, Melvin Bragg and Stephen Fry in attendance, the 20th anniversary of the Aldeburgh Documentary Film Festival has been curated by Diana Quick and Thomas Gerstenmeyer and includes such delights as a World Premiere, a National Premiere and a 90s pop sensation!
The weekend will be presented by Libby Purves and Paul Heiney and features the very topical 'Lessons in Dissent', a life time achievement award for filmmaker Roger Graef and a World Premiere of 'A Life Illuminated: Neville Parry, cinema projectionist' amongst Saturday's schedule. Sunday sees an appearance from Oscar winning producer John Battsek (Searching for Sugar Man) as well as the magnificent Edwyn Collins – the latter answering questions about the recently released documentary 'The Possibilities Are Endless' which takes a brilliant look at Collins' over the last few years.
So if you're in Suffolk from 14th-16th November, you'd better pop in to the Aldeburgh Documentary Film Festival – it'll be worth your while.
