The Social To Hold Refugee Crisis Appeal Fundraiser

Art & Culture

You should all know by now that you should be doing your bit to help those less fortunate than yourself and that the Syrian refugees that are currently having to flee their homeland need this help more than most. The folks over at The Social have just the thing for you so that you can enjoy a night of top quality entertainment while doing your bit for this most worthy of causes.

So what's on offer? Well, come Tuesday 22nd September The Social will be taken over for the night by a whole host of big names from the worlds of music and arts. On the music side of things there are such treats as a DJ set from Dexys' very own Kevin Rowland, the guv'nor himself Andrew Weatherall, Joe Giddard of Hot Chip/The 2 Bears fame, Jeremy Deller, DJ Die, Pete Fowler, In Light Of Aquarius and the ever-brilliant Heavenly Jukebox.

Holding up the microphone for a selection of talks will be the multi-talented writer Caitlin Moran, author of Kill Your Friends John Niven, the legendary Viv Albertine and the UK’s greatest beer writer, Pete Brown.

There are even more announcements on the horizon so stay tuned.

All the profits from the event will be going straight to the appeal, including the ticket fees, so you can be sure that all of your money is going to the right place.
