The Avalanches Added To Field Day 2016!

After what can almost no longer even be called a hiatus it looks like we might be finally seeing the follow up to The Avalanches debut album… maybe. Rumours have circulating amongst that them there internet over the past 24 hours after the band updated their social media with various cryptic images and now comes the announcement that they'll be playing a series of dates including London at Field Day 2016. 

Since the release of 2000’s critically acclaimed – and much loved at R$N Towers – debut Since I Left You there's been many rumours surrounding the follow up with false starts aplenty but now with London's Field Day announcing that they'll be playing at 2016's festival it looks like it might finally be happening. This will be their first appearance in the UK since 2001 and their first live show anywhere since 2007. Whilst there's no promises of new material at the moment this feels like the biggest glimmer of hope that there may be for quite a while now.
