Sugarhill Gang, Ghost Culture & More For Beat Herder Festival

On 17 – 19 July 2015, in The Ribble Valley, Lancashire, Beat-Herder will celebrate their 10th birthday – an anniversary that marks their journey from humble free party origins to an annual three-day 12,000 capacity bonanza with a legion of devout fans. We'd be happy to raise a glass to Beat Finder for just being a good laugh alone, but it should also be noted that unlike almost every other event in England, they've remained staunchly independent for a decade now, completely shunning all corporate sponsorship or branding. Well done chaps!

The festival have announced a second wave of acts, including a headlin appearence from hip hop pioneers Sugar Hill Gang ft Melle Mel and Scorpio of the Furious Five. They'll be playing alongside the likes of Nightmares on Wax, Ghost Culture, Mistajam and Richard Norris, joining already announced acts from Basement Jaxx and Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, to Catz n' Dogz and Andrew Weatherall.

Alongside the usual line up of bands and DJs, Beat Herder are promising a swimming pool in the woods, housed in a Scandinavian style wooden cabin, and 'The Ring', a huge earth mound with a Stonehenge-esque entrance.
