Sónar Reykjavaik Will See The Addition Of Sonar+D For 2016

Sónar Reykjavaik and Sónar Stockholm return for 2016. For the first time this year Sónar Reykjavaik has secured The International Congress for Creative technologies or Sonar+D. This will bring discussions, workshops and exhibitions dedicated to music technology and will see talks from Ellen Allien, The Black Madonna, Ólafur Arnalds and composer Péttur Jonsson and many more.

Sónar Reykjavik, which is taking place this weekend (18^th-20^th Feb), is set to host performances from Squarepusher, Floating Points, The Black Madonna, Holly Herndon, Angel Haze and Ben UFO. Sónar Stockholm, taking place on the 26^th & 27^th February at the Nobelberget headquarters will showcase performances from Fatima Yamaha,Annie Mac,Le1f, Youth Lagoon and Mura Masa.

Both festivals have secured Hudson Mohawke and Oneohtrix Point Never, Boys Noize, Jackmaster, Yung Lean, Rødhåd and Toxe. They will also perform at Sonar in Barcelona on the 16^th– 18^th June.

RBMA Radio will also be broadcasting from Sonar Reykjavik.
