Art & Culture

Featuring Dj Prime Cuts and Nathan ‘Flutebox’ Lee & The Clinic.

Celebrating 9 years of London’s longest running strictly 7’s party.

On October 21st 2011 all roads lead to The Star of Kings (York Way, King’s Cross) for SIZE DOESN’T MATTER’s 9th birthday celebrations. That’s right!! It’s been 9 years of parties with strictly 7″ music all night long. We can’t quite believe it ourselves!! The Star of Kings has 2 floors of Funktion One sound and is a real gem of a place. We’re hoping to make it our new home!

After a few months out of the game we’ve put together something really special. Birthdays come but once a year so we always push the boat out. Previous birthday guests have included Craig Richards, Jazzie B and Keb Darge, to name a few. This year is no different. Your hosts Si Kurrage and Mr Shiver will be joined by Dementia and Mastomic and we’ve even got a live act too!

As a super special birthday treat we’ve got a live set from Nathan ‘Flutebox’ Lee & The Clinic. This multicultural concoction of grime infested grooves is at the new frontier of beatboxing. Here’s what some other people have to say about them

Doing to the flute what Jimi Hendrix did to the guitar – Huey (Fun Lovin’ Criminals)

Sheer musical genius – Mixmag

The best bloody thing I’ve heard in years – Howard Marks

Headlining the DJ line up is the one and only Prime Cuts (Scratch Perverts). After he came and dj’d for us back in March last year we simply had to get him back!!

Expect plenty of Galactic Bass, Raw Disco-Funk, Hip-Hop, Space Breaks, Classics and more…

The night starts at 7pm and runs till 2am. Be there to help us celebrate 9 years and look forward to at least another 9.

SIZE DOESN’T MATTER – BIG tunes on small records!!!
