Ron Trent To Take Up Berlin Residency

Chicago native Ron Trent is the latest iconic American techno producer to set up shop in Europe. Trent has taken on a new residency in Berlin there to run his new concept night Young Soul. The first Young Soul event – taking place in the Prince Charles venue on Friday February 13th (they're clearly not superstitious) – looks to be a good 'un. Trent will be given the whole night to play, devoting a full 8 hour set to his musical journey – allowing him room to spin everything from funk and soul, to krautrock, post punk, industrial, gospel, and – of course – house and techno. Trent announced that the night would be "a Soulful Story of Music. Narratives, Philosophy, and Rhythm formulated by the underground sound. A meeting of open minds and souls ready to express themselves through dance"
