New Acts Added To Simple Things Line Up Inc. Jme, Skepta & Holly Herndon

One of the most varied line ups we've seen all year for a festival, Simple Things in Bristol has just added new names to its 2015 offering in October including  JME, Skepta, Holly Herndon, Savages and HEALTH.

A diverse accumulation of acts have been curated for this festival that seems to give its audience's musical appetites more credit than some other huge, commercial events of the impending Autumn/Winter season. JME and Skepta are of course going to be the biggest draws of the event, with Boy Better Know's unstoppable takeover of the mainstream continuing its advances (and a promise of new material and a collaboration with Tim Westwood on the cards for Skepta). The festival's avant-garde electronic game is being fronted by the most excellent sound artistry of Holly Herndon and house comes in the form of Lone, Hunee and Galcher Lustwerk amongst others. The event is really holding down on the post-rock, post-punk and post-anything front with performances from Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Battles, HEALTH, Vessel, The Soft Moon and Savages. Expect psychedelia, the merging of electro and punk… and noise. And Penguin Cafe, them, they're going to be there too.

It's a surreal selection but enough to satisfy the cravings of those who enjoy the lure of the guitar as much as their grime and house – why should you have to commit to one camp anyway?
