There are few artists as pivotal to Berlin's notorious techno scene as Marcel Fengler. A long-time resident at Berghain (alongside Marcel Dettman and Ben Klock), Fengler is rightly considered one of modern techno's most influential players.

Although he hasn't generated the same amount of critical interest as some of his fellow residents, he's still been pushing extended sessions since Berghain's opening night. He's also stepped convincingly into the spotlight in recent months with the release of the latest instalment of the club's eponymous mix series – Berghain 05 – which was awarded 4/5 by Resident Advisor and is being spoken about as one of the defining mixes of 2011.

It's not very often that you get to see Marcel play an extended set at such a small venue, but we've given him 4 hours to bring some Berlin-style techno to one of London's best new clubs – Basing House.
