Dj Harvey & Friends Taking Over Ministry This Saturday

"You can't understand the blues until you've had your heart broken, and you can't understand my music till you've had group sex on ecstasy."

That's the inimitable disco king DJ Harvey. Obviously. Having held down a famous residency at Ministry of Sound in the mid-'90s, this Saturday 23rd he's returning to the London institution with a takeover of all four rooms.

The man himself will play an all-night set in The Box, harnessing the full power of the club's brand new Dolby Atmos system (60 new speakers and a 22 channel soundsystem, natch). Apparently Harvey's been hard at work in the studio re-mastering some of his classic tracks in preparation, so this promises to be a pretty special set.

Terry Farley of Junior Boy's Own plays 103, along with Maurice Fulton and Awesome Tapes From Africa. Baby Box plays host to Will Bankhead of Trilogy Tapes fame, and a reggae set from Felix Hall (son of The Specials' Terry Hall). Over in the Loft it's Mixmaster Morris and The Orb's very own Dr Alex Paterson.

DJ Harvey & Friends play Ministry of Sound this Saturday 23rd April. Tickets are available here.
