It's the launch party for the Timbah – Can't Love Without You EP and they're giving a free copy to everyone who buys an advance ticket!

Seiji (Bugz In The Attic/Seiji Music)

As a founding member of West London collective Bugz in the Attic, Seiji was one of the pioneers of ‘broken beat’, playing regularly at the legendary Sunday club night Co-Op, and taking the broken sound all over the world.

Seiji’s influence is now more keenly felt than ever, with myriad UK funky and contemporary garage producers referencing his work. He has now returned to underground dance music, presenting his own fresh and eccentric take on bass heavy music with remixes including Erykah Badu, Crookers, Florence & The Machine and Gorillaz, and releases on Numbers, Fools Gold, Ninja Tune, Mad Decent, to name a few.

LV feat. Josh Idehen (Keysound/Hyperdub)

Described by Spoonfed magazine as “the most criminally unsung producers in UK music”, LV are a production team who have never been tied to any one musical scene or genre – they produce a sound that is uniquely LV; style was first introduced to the music world on Kode9’s Hyperdub label.

A chance encounter in 2007 with Joshua Idehen – poet/writer and the founder of the highly acclaimed collective PiP (A Poem Between People) – led to their first release together on Keysound – the critically acclaimed 38EP. Away from LV, Joshua continues to front Alt-Hop outfit Benin City with his work featuring on BBC Radio One, BBC Radio 3′s The Verb, and in The Times, Prospect magazine, and anthologies alongside the likes of Linton Kwesi Johnson and Anthony Joseph.

Their collaboration album 'Routes' has been rated highly amongst critics and FACT Mag ranked it at number 9 in their '50 best albums of 2011' list. FACT mag stated 'few would’ve expected their debut full-length to be the capital’s album of the year' and 'Ultimately, Routes is an album that needs to be picked up and listened to from beginning to end in your own head, in your own space and yes, if possible, on public transport'.

Deft (Disconnected Sounds)

London-based producer, who’s recently been making waves with his own brand of beat heavy, instrumental hip-hop/electronica and remixing the likes of FaltyDL and Zero 7. He's just put out his debut album 'Before Vol.1' and we couldn't recommend it enough. Listen and download from his bandcamp.

Walter Ego (Bad Taste)

Walter Ego makes UK Funky and Grime music that's been getting him a lot of attention in 2011 from the likes of Toddla T on Radio 1 and Monki on Rinse FM. His last two EP's on Bad Taste have been killer and his recent track 'Only think of you' (which is available for free download on his soundcloud) shows that the guy has a lot of great material on the way in 2012 and beyond.
