Peru Bravo: Funk, Soul & Psych From Peru’s Radical Decade

I do love me some brass, and a good excuse to shake my oversized backside around the office whilst allowed the place to myself. Something is just so right about music like this, every single nerve ending in my body is urging me on and I can't help but feel like dancing.
But I won't, no-one wants that.
There are some absolute classics on this album and even the most stone-hearted, cynical listener won't be able to keep their toes from tapping. Cacique is absolutely cracking, it's like James Bond got sent on a mission to deepest Peru, was knocked unconscious and, when he regained consciousness, thought he was a guitarist.
I could listen to this album all day. And I will. No-one can stop me. Every little thing about this is feel-good music and I can't recommend it enough. It beats listening to electronic music any day, the raw instruments and delightful rhythms are filling my world with joy. There are some marvellous guitar sounds that will have you licking your lips and wishing you'd spent more time practicing when you were a teenager.
There's something just so ultimately fulfilling about these tracks, like they were made to sooth your soul. I'm sure there was rain pattering down on my window when I began listening to this, now there is nothing but glorious sunshine both inside and out.
Go on, get a little spring in your step. Feel the rhythm.
Cool runnings.
Sorry.
