Innovative electronics with a nostalgic twist.

Veronique Samsung have become an intriguing prospect – the French duo have recently launched their own brand of off piste electronics which nods towards the era of classic house, analogue machinery and 80’s DIY culture.

The pair are members of Cocktail Bandit but this new project offers them a chance to focus more specifically on channeling electronic music and sounds less associated with the rural background from which they come.

This track is called ‘Canicule’ and is described as being reminiscent of the early 2000’s – a time not so distant to the pair who recall when the summer was less hot and tensions less rife.

The track was recorded using an assortment of hardware and instruments but is predominantly lead by the famous Perc-Organ preset on the Korg M1.

This new adventure for the pair is set to lead to exciting new discoveries with a nod to a nostalgic past as this music video demonstrates with glitchy visuals and colourful context.
