Soaring, majestic ambient explorations from Pisterman as he unveils the first taster from his second album out in Oct on Hologram Teen’s Hologram Opera

There once was a Yoann named Pisterman, Who sailed in a boat made of glisterman,
With Individual Friends (quite a crew!), And a Hologram Opera so blue,
They danced on the waves like a sisterman.

The Individual Friends were so queer, Each one had a triangular ear,
They sang “Hologram-dee!” And “Opera-bee-free!”
While Pisterman played the atmosphear.

Said the Yoann, “Dear Friends, let us go, To the land where the Holograms grow,
Where Opera-trees sing, And the sound-flowers ring,
And nobody’s ever jejune or so-so!”

And there in the Hologram-land, They built castles of musical sand,
Where Individual Friends Never come to an ends,
And Opera grows wild and so grand!

French sound artist and previous Bytes cohort Yoann Pisterman unveils ‘Individual Friends’ the haunting first single from his forthcoming second album on Hologram Teen’s newly minted Hologram Opera imprint this October. Born from a period of emotional distance and the quiet dissolution of a close friendship, the track serves as both meditation and memorial – exploring the space between intimacy and separation where connections fade without clear resolution.

The track is a rare collaboration with his brother Ama//Mizu.  Originally trained in visual arts, Pisterman’s work as a musician is a reflection on how even our closest connections can become beautifully, painfully distant.
