Premiere: Tapan ft. Radwan Ghazi Moumneh – In My Heart (Khidja Remix)

They sat across the table, eyes fixed on one another, a sense of disbelief discernible through the deep lines on their faces. Decades had past since they'd last been face to face. So much had happened, so much had changed in that time; it was impossible to know where either of them should begin. The woman opened her mouth softly, then paused. He raised a finger to his lips and smiled warmly. They didn't need words now…
Despite the current circumstances, Berlin-based label Malka Tuti believe reflection, contemplation and adaptation are the best ways to work through this situation. It's this perspective that's motivated them to move forward with their plan to release a digital compilation to celebrate their fifth birthday.
Featuring five tracks (for five years) the EP includes a couple of contributions from the Malka Tuti family and some secret versions of previous releases that the label bosses have been playing out for some time. Spanning slow trance, ambient and DIY post punk, contributions come from Die Orangen, Vactrol Park, Xen Yovav, Die Orangen, Gordon Pohl and our pick, a sludgy hypnotic remix from Khidja of Tapan and Radwan Ghazi Moumneh, taken off Tapan's Europa LP released in 2017.
