Premiere: Talik – Cold Silver
Metallic structures towered high above the rest of the city, their appearance ominous and menacing. Who resided in these buildings, nobody knew. No signage emblazoned the entrances, and only on rare occasions were people seen arriving or leaving. They weren’t offices or homes, they weren’t schools or charities, their purpose was unknown, their story untold — an unsettling mystery that remained unsolved.
Next up on Coloray’s Intercept Records comes the debut outing from UK producer Charlotte Denham AKA Talik. Influenced by her time spent living in Berlin, Hackney and Brighton, the four tracks across ‘Cold Silver’ showcase her ability to play with texture, rhythm and tension — crafting music for the body and the mind and finding comfort in the spaces between light and dark.
