Premiere: Simon Gimelstein – He Said

The emotion surged through her body, fizzing like a faulty electricity socket. It began in her gut and travelled up to her throat; soon to manifest in the floods of tears that would surely erupt. It was as if she were wrestling with some internal beast, fighting with every weapon she had to keep it from winning. The circumstances were beyond her control. In fact the whole turn of events was completely out of her hands. She must get hold of her emotions before they got hold of her.

Amsterdam-based label Karakter begin the new year with an instalment from Lithuanian producer and film composer Simon Gimelstein. Channeling his classically trained background and his love of electronic music into the three original compositions, Frustration translates “the feeling of being upset or annoyed as a result of being completely unable to change or achieve something.”
