Premiere: Ruutu Poiss – August

In August of last year Amsterdam-based label Wake Dream began life with an inaugural release from Levels and International Major Label alumni Ruutu Poiss. Made up of three tracks, the EP acted as a prelude to his first LP titled Palav Aed, which is now ready to be released into the world.

Recorded in various home studios over a seven year period between 2012 and 2019, the 10 tracks on the album revolve around the same equipment set up, adding a timeless quality and helping to bring the release together as a coherent whole. Across the LP he welcomes us into the sonic world he’s carefully crafted over the years, drawing from and referencing the melodic, harmonic, psychedelic and synthesized to chronicle his far reaching talents as a producer and musician.
