Premiere: Mattr – Menieres

The ground felt uneven and rough underfoot as he trudged along his normal path home. The rustling leaves and soft coo of birds that normally enveloped this journey twisted and contorted into a piercing sound that rung loudly in his ear. Head spinning, stomach churning, he struggled to find his footing, losing all balance as he tried to hold on to reality.

Berlin’s Loft & Sound welcome Mattr to the label for his next release, Salix – four tracks that match atmospheric textures and melodies with crisp rhythms. Eerie downtempo sounds sit alongside halftime and experimental motifs, bringing a breath of fresh air and a sense of surprise from start to finish.
