Premiere: London Modular Alliance – Mom’s Knife
The rain was coming down thick and fast, providing some respite from the scorching sun that had commandeered weather reports for the last month. Thunderous rumblings from overhead had never been so welcome, it felt wonderful listening to the heavens open from the comfort of their four walls. For now at least, but it wouldn’t be long before they’d be willing the sun to return once more…
Censor Records call on the talents of London Modular Alliance for their next release, a four track EP from core member Phil Ventre, backed up by a remix from label boss Alex Jann. Ventre’s background co-running synth shop London Modular plays into his innate ability for crafting meticulous rhythms and singular sound palettes, with his Glass Cannon EP bringing wigged-out mechanics, synth stabs and lo-slung shuffling drum patterns in abundance.
