First View: Al Kassian - Default

There is a spectacular sense of curiosity around the Japanese music scene and its accompanying culture. Al Kassian is one artist who has managed to showcase the further reaches of the dance and electronic scene emerging from the country. As the founder of the Planet Sundae record label ,upon which he released his debut EP earlier this year, he dabbles in melodic house and techno with a moody edge. He is also one half of Opal Sunn, a duo who have appeared live at a number of venues and events including the popular Rainbow Disco Club Festival which took place earlier in 2016. The tail end of this summer will see him release an EP on the UK based record label LIPS.

The forthcoming EP sees him draw on a robotic influence and the track titled 'Default' is accompanied by a stunning music video filmed by So Hasegawa with artistic direction from Kohei Suzuki. Get lost in that below…
