Vincent Floyd – I Dream of You

Originally released on Dance Mania, "I Dream You" is an absolute Chicago House classic. It is one of the deepest and most soulful releases the label put out in their early days, and it totally captures Vincent Floyd's signature sound. Tip!

Taxie – Rock Don't Stop

For the inaugural release of Eglo's sister label Melodies, here's a rare disco crossover anthem by Taxie – comes with a nice little booklet inside !Formed in Oakland, California in 1978 the band recorded Rock Dont Stop & pressed up limited quantities. Remastered from the original tapes, this uplifting dance-floor gem is having a second wind at parties worldwide, and has become a special moment at the You're a Melody nights.

Sam Carty – Bird in Hand

Sticking with the Black Ark stable on this one, Rock A Shacka continue to issue quality unearthings … this one is ridiculous! Not cheap, but trust us, it's a thing of beauty – 3 previously unreleased UPSETTER tunes.. HUGE TIP!

.Sam Carty’s ‘Bird In The Hand’ is a cover of the Hindi love song "Milte Hi Ankhen Dil Hua Diana” translated "As Soon As Our Eyes Met, Our Hearts Went Mad”. Featured in the classic movie ‘Babul’ from 1950 and produced/composed by the musical talents of Naushad Ali. Here Sam Carty delivers his Hindi style all mixed in mystical Black Ark fashion as you would expect from The Upsetter. This is the first time time this full vocal version has been released (Lee Perry's classic Return Of The Super Ape LP includes alternate dub version) – a totally unheard cut of this classic! It's followed with a cool dub (also unreleased).

On the flip “Upsetting Rhythm 2” is another raw Ark rhythm workout using that signature Perry drumbox we know and love. Really killer instrumental that shakes our shop..

Another essential release for Upsetter fans and gooood music lovers in general!

FACES OF DRUMS – THANKS 4 THE TRACKS
