N.O.I.A – Influences

Music

N.O.I.A. are among the handful of pioneers to first grasp the power of syntheised music. along with contemporaries such as Depeche Mode and Giorgio Moroder, the Italian band sprung into existence in 1978, producing a string of mini synth masterpieces until they called it a day a decade later. Now, Alessandro Piatto, brother of core N.O.I.A. Davide Piatto has begun digging through the bands considerable archive to remaster and reissue early and lost tracks from the band, shining some light on an often under appreciated corner of electronic history. The first release  'Rule to Survive' is set to hit shops at the start of September, with remixes coming from Prins Thomas and Kirk Degiorgio, til then we got the band to run through some of the key tracks that inspired the N.O.I.A. sound…

Kraftwerk - Antenna

For the first time the world realizes that “electronic song” is possible. We have always considered Kraftwerk as if they were our grandparents.

  • Can "Spoon"

Another very important kraut influence. Wonder rhythm. It is difficult to find a group born in our times not saying the same thing.

  • Devo Sloppy (I Saw My Baby Gettin') & Shrivel Up

Listening to this song hit me like Paul on the road to Damascus. After that, nothing was the same.

  • Here Come The Warm Jets

All the early years of Brian Eno were important to the history of music and also for ours. This piece is a good example.

  • Ramones-Blitzkrieg Bop

    The perfect song.

They was so raw, outrageous and new. It was love at first sight.

Listen to Gary Numan in the 1979 was a pleasure. He was a truly pioneer in the genre of electronic pop.

  • A Clockwork Orange - Intro [Hd]

  • "Forbidden Planet" Trailer

We used to love a lot 60’s and 70’s Sci Fi Movies and novels, you can easily find this background in our lyrics.
