Insomnia Music with Hydergine

Originating from the deepest South of Italy, Hydergine may be a familiar name to some of you but there’s every likelihood that he hasn’t yet crossed your radar. A master of all things deep, pensive and thoughtful he has been perfecting his craft across many years and has worked tirelessly crafting dub infused house and techno for almost a decade. As a founder of the Ranges label he has channeled the ethereal, moody spirit of the underground in true style.
The records are often subtle, long form experiences within which the listener is required to pay attention to the intricate details that help make up a special mood and tone. This isn’t strictly club focussed music. It is as much in the behavioural patterns and the soundtrack to our everyday experiences that Hydergine draws upon as his inspiration.
He has most recently released a 2 x 12″ EP for his own label, a true showcase of his musical identity. As such we asked him to contribute to one of our playlist feature series. He opted for the sounds of insomnia…

This is one iconic track from 1996. Melancholic and energetic at the same time. I recall listening and playing this track many times, as well as many others from Bandulu. However, I think that this track is perfect for lucid dreaming.
