Influences – Red Axes
Tel-Aviv duo Red Axes know how to make high-quality music better than most. Having previously suggested we wear scout uniforms, something that may well have happened for a short period, we couldn't wait to have Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi grace our pages once more so that we could remind ourselves just how ruddy good they are at their jobs – you'd have to be to have releases for I'm A Cliche, Hivern Discs, Correspondant, Kill The DJ and Throne of Blood under your belt. This time around they're treating us to a selection of videos that have influenced them – including one that anyone with an interest in football will never forget. Let's kick off then.
Most of the videos can be seen above but here are a couple of corkers we wanted to make sure you didn't miss;
"Yossi Elephant, an Israeli local hero. He passed way 25 years ago, a very important figure for us. Great guitar player, singer and producer."
"Really good footage of The Crotches, our friends and favourite band in the world. These guys are bringing some attitude to the Tel-Aviv music scene."
See Red Axes in London at Discodoma's first warehouse edition at Bloc on 11th July, grab your tickets here.
Back in ’94 we were 10 years old and this moment was a very important lesson.
