Christophe Influences

Music

Ahead of the Futureboogie Recordings Room One take over at the Random Magic Halloween special this Saturday night, we got the multitalented Bristol based DJ, Producer and Graphic designer, Christophe to give us the lowdown on the influences that have helped form his sound.

A Guy Called Gerald - Voodoo Ray

Probably my favourite and most influential House Record, blew my mind when it came out and made me dream of partying in dark warehouses.

  • A Guy Called Gerald - Voodoo Ray

Probably my favourite and most influential House Record, blew my mind when it came out and made me dream of partying in dark warehouses.

  • Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense

Probably the best Live concert video, absolutely amazing, everything about it. Half of these live versions are better than the studio versions. One of the first concerts I’d seen where people were actually dancing in the crowd, rather than staring and nodding.

  • Dance Energy

Loved Dance Energy so much… a program about underground music, fashion and dancing. What more could you want from terrestrial TV??!!

  • Soul Ll Soul - Fairplay

Rose Windross looking effortlessly cool and stylish and the song is amazing. UK party soundsystem vibes at its best. Unity.

  • Inner City - Goodlife

Don’t really need to say anything here.

  • Depeche Mode - Policy Of Truth

Dark synths, amazing drums (maybe my favourite snare drum) Moody, cool and compelling. Violator has to be one of my favorite albums ever.

  • Rahaan - Bring The Heat Party

As far as party videos go, this has to be one of the best captured, undergound basement get down vibes. Mach ll – on and on and a power cut. BADASS

  • Luciano Playing Dopplewhipper At Circo Loco Dc10

I actually took this video… DC10 was amazing, the energy and music was next level. Proper underground business.
