8 Tracks: Nippy Music With Luv Jam

Music

Luv Jam has had a busy few years. The English producer has found himself at home on labels which include the likes of Throne of Blood, Phonica and Rawax. His mature approach to house music has left a strong impression on the genre as a whole and his music has been well received across the ranks. Here are his selections…

Luv Jam will play alongside Massimiliano Pagliara for New Business in London this Thursday HERE.

Eod - Utrecht

Absolute beauty of a track, timeless, emotional, and perfect for dream nipping! !t simply has to be at the top of tree 1/8.

  • Albinos - Ultra Heaven

Full of lovely deep underwater sounds, can be effective in the early evening quite slow @-6 pitch, but also at peak time, at 0 pitch the whole ep is killer, but ultra heaven is key!

  • Apiento & Co. 'E.S.P (Lexx Remix)

This whole record is devine, but i think the Lexx mix just pips it! Devine track full of sex power synth wave. Its happy, but also dark and interesting enough to keep the ‘heads’ keen!

  • Fantastic Man - Donkey Punch

Fantastic man is making some freaky noises from the tropicals. The kinda sounds I really want to hear and make myself, so i’ll be yelling him soon, so see what the craic is! Weird and wonderful, but damn right NIPPYNESS! tried and tested in Tante Emma, last weekend! Pow!
All of his Fine Choice work is superbly good!

  • Credit 00 - Korg Tha Groove

Wonkyness from the RATS! Great club tools on all of these records from the ratline gutters of East DE via Mr Credit 00. Check RAT3 and RAT7 too!

  • Casio Royale - Save It (For Yourself, You Tory Scum)

Pure power from the DABJ! best one of theirs for a while for me. This is a no messing squelchy throbber with plenty of quirk and gnarl. The name predicts an unusual vibe, so you know what you’re in for!

  • Trixx - Sweet Light

Possibly the biggest track of mine for 12 years now. Very very naughty DF destroyer! Everybody goes nuts every time. Made when FnC were just on fire! Proper L*J classic this one!

  • Guavid - Luminescence

Lovely dreamy acidic number on the mighty 030303. So we start 1/8 and end 8/8 with this mighty label. The entire compilation is a real collectors piece for the future!
