Trashmouth Records Release Scuzzy New Comp

Trashmouth Records are out of time. Pursuing a scuzzy, anti-corporate ethic that we thought died out over a decade ago, the label – run by the men behind former techno/ electro outfit Medicine 8 – first came to wider attention by releasing Fat White Family's classic first album, when literally no other label gave a shit about the band.

Now Trashmouth are consolidating their revolution by bringing out a double album compilation of similarly disgusting musical anomalies, based around obnoxious garage rock, sludgy lofi blues, bands with incredibly ugly members, cack handed tape loops, and broken mixing consoles. In a world where indie bands' most pressing wish is to soundtrack an iPad advert, it's immensely refreshing to see a label so determinedly not giving a toss. The comp comes with 3 exclusives from Fat White Family, alongside 17 other grimy gutter shakers

Warmduscher have just posted a video to support their track The Salamander, featuring what appears to be Saul from FWF performing an underpant clad sex wriggle on a grubby bed. Classy.

We're also taken with the Lewis Idle cut – a kinda T-Rex meets TV Personalities meets Donny Osmond singalong –

Trashmouth will celebrate the launch of the album with two shows including performances from various artists featured on the complilation. These shows will take place at the Shacklewell Arms on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th of October 2014 – more info on the Trashmouth Records site.
