Thug Entrancer To Release New Album On Software
Following up his excellent 2014 footwork/techno hybrid 'Death After Life', sci-fi virtuoso Thug Entrancer (aka Denver producer Ryan McRyhew) is set to release his next album – 'Arcology' – in March next year.
The album shifts between between free-form improvisational workouts and a new, more direct approch to melody. It's described as "a narrative of an imagined alien colony existing between the fabric of known / unknown worlds." Damn, I knew I should have pitched that film script before someone else got there. Never mind.
'Arcology' is being released on Software, the Brooklyn-based label of Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never) who've previously put out music by Napolian, Slava and Huerco S. That's the exceedingly cool artwork below, and you can also listen to taster track 'Curaga':
